Creating momentum.

Alright, so here we are. After another week of toiling around on penpot and focusing almost exclusively on the designing of this website, I am finally making a little bit of progress. It hasn't been easy, but I am happy with the current state of my page's development. Since last week, I had gotten the ball rolling and saw myself being more drawn to finishing up this site's design. Following the natural motivation to complete this process, I had went on to begin designing layouts and building components.
Narrowing my focus mainly on one project has really helped me make progress and feel a greater sense of accomplishment/fulfillment. There is less confusion and friction when finishing tasks because of the clarity and focus. Even if I don't complete a specific milestone, I can be confident that I will just pick up where I left off the next day.
Honestly, this is what was missing. Knowing that I've made time to design and not try to fit in like 90 tasks of random and distracting habits has reduced a lot of the despair, heaviness, and disappointment I would feel week after week.
I tried making time for music as well. I worked on some drumless style loops inspired by Earl Sweatshirt and MIKE. Even though I didn't put in much time into working on the song, I at least got a beat done and a verse started. Music wasn't really a main priority for me this week, and having that understanding made it seem a lot less daunting. I know I could make as much time as I want to for music when I get this website done, so that's where my effort went.
It seems so simple and obvious, yet the revelation has been so profound. JUST DO WHAT U WANNA DO!!!! (within reason...)
Ramadan is now over and we celebrated Eid Al-Fitr today. I'm glad it's done and that we made it successfully through the month. I was seriously tested this month and I am now learning the lesson. With every ending there is a new beginning, and I'm so inspired to continue moving forward with this positive momentum and not let any bullshit pull me down.
