Brighter Days

This past week I've been getting into short story writing like I mentioned in the last post. I think it's been a good creative outlet for me to make something meaningful without feeling any pressure of doing it right. The story I've been working on is called "A Great Height". I'm still writing the rough draft and editing it. I look forward to sharing it soon.
I've also been getting into watercolor painting in my sketchbook. I wanted to try a new kind of medium in my drawing practice and had some watercolor paints lying around, I thought why not use them. It's definitely harder than it looks, and I need to work on my ink drawing to really make my illustrations look better. I'd love to use watercolors more in the future. Soon, I'm gonna be starting my daily portrait drawing practice after I finish doing daily gesture drawings. I've been doing that for 6 months now and I'm ready to take on a new challenge.

I hadn't gotten around to working on new music too much. I did re-record some tracks earlier in the week, but didn't do much else.
Honestly, things have been a little brighter lately. I'm just taking things day by day, not trying to overwhelm myself with the bigger picture too much. It's been pretty chill, and I am just following my instincts.
I just have a lot of ideas right now and feel like theres a lot going on in my mind. I mentioned some interest in game dev, but have not really been free enough to sit and work on it. It's nice just having this regular routine of reading and drawing, but I still wanna do more. One thing I just want to get out of the way is this website. I have not made very much progress in building it or adding any new pages or features or anything. It's just been one of those things that has been lingering over me. I really hope to get more stuff done this month, because we're already halfway through February! Hard to believe.
Heres a sick pixel doodle I made in Paintbrush (MS Paint for Macs).
