SULI.network: Hello World

Tags: introduction hi first post blog

Alright, I'm kinda not even sure what to write so I'm just gonna let it fly.

This is my very first official blog post on my own personal website. If you're reading this, hello! Hi, I hope you like the site. It's very basic and unpolished so far, but I have a lot of ideas for what I want to do with this.

I've spent the last month or so just exploring the world of the indie-web and wanted to take a shot at building my own webpage. The purpose of this site is to be my main digital platform where I can share ideas, projects, art, inspirations, and updates on anything going on in my life. In the future, I hope to publish videos and eventually start a monthly newsletter.

The reason I wanted to create this page is to slowly distance myself from mainstream social media platforms and move towards full online independence. I could go on about why this is important to me and how it impacts my art, but long story short: I hate the algorithms and lack of data-privacy on social media sites. I would rather have my own personal space to directly publish on, instead of constantly posting meaningless content for an app's algorithm that may or may not even show my stuff to its users. You can check out the about page to read more.

Anyways, other than putting together this site, I spent the first week of 2026 making a new song! It's been forever really since I've seriously dedicated time to music. My goal is to make 6 full projects worth of music by the end of the year. By project, I mean 8 songs (or more) revolving around a fully developed concept, and visual identity. I really want to immerse myself into the process of writing, producing, and recording fresh new music again.

If you've been following me over the years, you might have noticed that I've been a bit inactive and inconsistent with new music releases and creative stuff. Due to a variety of personal reasons that I won't get too into right now, I really wasn't in the best place to work on or share any art very frequently. Now, with this website, and a slightly less complicated life situation, I feel ready and motivated to create again!

MOSULI Spotify Monthly Listeners: 4, January 2026

This week, I've been getting back into Jay-Z's music. I've always been a huge fan of his since like the 8th grade. Listening back to his music more intentionally now has informed my creative direction for the music I want to make right now. I've also been really digging Mach-Hommy, a Haitian rapper, out of New Jersey. Honestly, I have not been this inspired by an artist I recently discoveredm in a while. His music has been refreshing. Some tracks on repeat right now are Jay-Z: Where I'm From, Jay-Z: Dead Presidents II, and Mach-Hommy: Murder Czn. I'm really into this new boom-bap style right now. And also, MF DOOM has been on the playlist as well (RIP). I feel like when I first started listening to DOOM, I really did not understand his lyrics that much and just kind of passively enjoyed the sound. This was way back in high school. Now, I'm approaching his work with a more mature mind and it's really been resonating.

Well, that's pretty much it for my first post. Many more to come. I hope you continue to follow the site. Thanks for reading.
